I'm Joy Salt. I live in rural Staffordshire. I've been a glass artist for more than 15 years working from home in my garage studio.
I make a very wide selection of stained glass suncatchers. Copper foiled Tiffany style. All sorts of designs, colours, sizes. I try to ensure I have something to suit everyone, every taste.
I also make a range of smaller fused glass items. All one-offs as my glass firing kiln is small and not suited to any sort of 'mass production'. My range includes fused dishes, pictures and jewellery. This website contains photos of many of my designs.
You can purchase all my glass directly from my online shops.
I'm very happy to take requests for commissions. If there's something you'd like but can't see in my shops, please get in touch via my CONTACT page and I will do my very best to help you.
I can sometimes be found out and about with my glass at local Craft Fairs and Christmas Markets. It is a real pleasure to meet my customers face to face. I always add details of these to my Facebook page or you can Contact me. Please note I will Always respond to emails so please check your junk mail if you have not heard back from me in a couple of days.
Joy's BLOG
I don't currently write a blog either about my glass or my activities outside my glass work. However when I'm not making glass I can often be found travelling, anywhere and everywhere.
I have a few passions. Glass, Family, Garden, Travel and my Camera. My Panasonic Lumix camera goes with me everywhere and takes pictures of the other 4 passions.
When I travel, it is always with husband Bob and it used to be in our Motorhome , a McLouis, Tandy. Our scooter Kisbee came along too inside in the garage. Then, during Covid, as we were holidaying in the UK where the weather is not normally dry enough for scootering we changed to a Chausson motorhome and a little towcar, Smart (Arse - see photo - the sticker was there when we bought it, honest !).
Last year, 2023, we had a complete change after 20 years of motorhoming. We now have a Caravan and a different car suitable to tow it. We haven't taken it abroad yet but will in summer.
When I travel I usually keep a travel blog.
